Can someone from DownUnder describe the construction/operation of the LukaWand (patpend)? I'm guessing it allows the length of the wand to be adjusted underway to accommodate flat or rough water. Photos would be helpful for all of us homebuilders that are trying to keep up with the top boats. (I know, I know: just sail a whole bunch and that will solve many, many problems....)

I do not know how the Luka wand works but the Mistress 1 had this kind of thing.

rope pulls the wand up and makes the elastic stronger.

Spring pushes it down, rope pulls it up, rope goes around a block on the pivot point on the wand mechanism, then runs back to boat, and splits up to left and right side of boat. I have designed and made something similar, but much more simple, and will test it out on the weekend, photos will be up soon.
