Hi, I have been sailing much of my life in various classes, Laser, 49ers, and a lot of windsurf. After a long hiatus in sailing I decided to get back on the water and saw the Moth and thought it was fantastic. I bought a bladerider RX and have been struggling to get it to lift-off the water, and I am having a very difficult time tacking. I do not know if I am too light (63Kgs) or if this boat is just different from everything out there. I live in Colombia and this is the first and only moth here.

Basically I cannot tack, the boat just stops when it reaches irons, and it just wont tack. And foiling well I get some speed and the boat wont lift-up, and once the boat leans to leeward it is almost impossible to flatten it out let alone lean to windward.

Would greatly appreciate some sailing tips on tacking and lifting the boat out of the water.

Thank you all for your advice.
