Welcome to the IMCA forum. You need to login to the IMCA site post messages, but not to read the threads. The fourm is built by integrating JForum into the IMCA site.

Please do not fill up the forum with lots of tests. If you want to test something then please keep all test messages in this thread.

If you have any questions, bugs, feedback, requests, complaints etc please contact me: doug at culnane dot net or post them in this thread.

Enjoy

Attachments are a bit of a problem. JForum support attachments but I do not seam to be able to configure them correctly. Even if I could configure them they could take up a lot of space in the database or hard disk and that will maybe cost the IMCA more money.... So for not they do not work.

Do you think they are a necessary feature?

Surprisingly the avatars work!

You can click the "My Profile" link above and upload your avatar. This then gets saved in the riders image directory on the server and reused by pages like this one: http://www.moth-sailing.org/imca/faces/imca_committee.jsp.

Bruce report that he can not post because of the catchpa (Scrambled text you have to enter to prove you are not a computer). This text is case sensitive! This is a test to see if it works. If you can read this then it does for me.

Thanks to the help. I have fixed the typo, and spotted some div tag HTML errors that i thought I had fixed....

Did you use the quick reply or post reply option?

OK I think I will go live with this Forum and if there are any bug (which there will be) then I will try to fix them as they are discovered.

Thanks for the info Bruce. I have problems with the Captcha but I am not sure if it is human error or not.

If anyone else has bug reports please post them here or email me with them.

Seems to work for me! Nice one Doug.

My comments are:

I'm seeing two sets of scrollbars; one for the forum and one for the containing page. Makes navigating with the mousewheel difficult.

Some forum controls (such as editing this post, or when I got the CATCHPA wrong) seem to send focus to the blank space at the foot of the page, rather than the reply box - giving the impression something is broken untill you think to scroll up again!

Running firefox 3.0.10 on XP.

Thanks for the feedback Tom. Looks like you got the avatar to work.

To get all geeky and boring the forum is embedded with an IFRAME. This causes some page references to not work, and the 2 sets of scroll bars. Not sure how to fix this but will look into it when I have time, as agree it is a bit annoying.

All at the best,

Doug
