Dec 2001 France David Balkwill's new 2002 Moth. "The underwater shape is very close to what Marc, Freddy and Andy have been doing for the last few years. What I'm trying to do is to work on the whole structure, no more bolt on bits and think about ergonomics, both for the comfort of the sitting out position, and for the light weather stuff."

"I am going to build with a sideways tilting dagger board to get lift upwind and on reaches. I also hope to find the time to build the whole rig with a partially carbon, partially sailcloth wing mast. This will be maybe 30 cm deep, not like the full double sail Brett is doing. We'll see how far I get before the Europeans in July."
